Introducing Joburg’s first-ever series of creative workshops and holiday programmes for children under one roof. With workshops covering over 20 different creative categories Art of Play promises to excite, inspire, TEACH and entertain.

The idea for this programme was borne out a need to encourage our next generation to be creative. The modern child seems to have forgotten how to play in the traditional sense and the role of imagination, discovery and creativity needs to be nurtured . . . enter Art of Play!

It is said that inspiring creativity in a child is one of the best guarantees of a healthy self–esteem. Research has also proven that as our children get older they lose their spontaneity, conform more and are less likely to take risks. We can counteract this by boosting their artistic flair.

As adults, we need to foster original thinking in our youngsters and we can do this through art, craft and other creative activities. Art of Play is all about being fun, creative and playful whilst learning at the same time! We focus on the developmental benefits of creative play as endorsed by leading child psychologists.
