The purpose of GS1 South Africa is to take a leading role in establishing, developing and promoting a worldwide, multi-sector system for the identification of goods, services and locations, as well as for related communications, based on business-led standards as agreed through GS1.

GS1 South Africa's primary objective is to enhance inter-company logistics, increase trade efficiencies and add value for the partners involved, as well as for customers.

GS1 South Africa became a customer of getSolutions in October 2004. In this time, we have redesigned their website twice and helped them structure their content.

The goal of the website redesign:

The goal of their website redesign was to take knowledge gained from their getWeb web stats and create a design that catered more effectively to their users.

We created new content areas to make the website easier to use. New functionality was also added to allow users to register, login and participate in the GS1 forums.

Their website runs on the getWeb solution, allowing them to manage and maintain their website content 24/7.
